5 Ways To Celebrate The Total Solar Eclipse In The Treasure Valley
If you want to celebrate the rare occasion of a total solar eclipse on Monday, August 21st, in the Treasure Valley, we have you covered.
The next two total solar eclipses visible from Idaho will be on June 25, 2169 and December 31, 2252. You may not be around to view those!
The partial eclipse begins at about 10:11am, with the total eclipse occurring at 11:26:16am and 11:28:22am. The partial eclipse ends at about 12:50pm.
Ultimate Eclipse Boise 2017
From 10:10am to 12:50pm, you'll find a ton of people staring at the sky at Camelback Park. If you want to match those individuals staring at the total solar eclipse, then there are three tshirts for you to choose from for purchase. You can view all the shirts and more information here.
Make your way to the Hilltop Station from 10am to 2pm on August 21st to join in the celebrations. You'll find eclipse glasses for sale (you have to protect your eyes!), Moon Pies, and free parking.
2017 Solar Eclipse with NWSM

Spend Time on the Dark Side (Solar Special)
Take a tour of one of the "darkest" places during the total solar eclipse at the Old Idaho Penitentiary. You'll enjoy 2-for-1 adult admission in honor of the 2017 Solar Eclipse, with the first 100 guests receiving a free pair of eclipse glasses. Hours are from 10am to 5pm, with last admission at 4:15pm.
Eclipse Block Party
