Celebrate Strong Women And Support The Boise Contemporary Theater
| 100 WOMEN EVENT AT BOISE CONTEMPORARY THEATER CELEBRATES FEMALE ARTISTS |
April 25, 2017
The 100 WOMEN event at the Boise Contemporary Theater combines a few of our favorite things: local theater, supporting artists, and empowering women.
This is the 13th annual 100 WOMEN event that will help sponsor the 2016-2017 season of the Boise Contemporary Theater. Join with 99 other individuals as you enjoy a play that features strong women and support your local theater! While the name may be misleading, men are a part of the event and encouraged to join.
“The Clean House”
The play for 2017 is “The Clean House,” a play by Pulitzer prize nominee Sarah Ruhl and directed by Drew Barr.
The synopsis for “The Clean House” is: After hiring Matilde, an aspiring comedian from Brazil, as their housekeeper, married doctors Lane and Charles have to deal with the mess that is their lives after Charles finds his soulmate in one of his patients. This wildly funny play is a whimsical and poignant look at class, comedy and the true nature of love.
100 WOMEN Strong
On Sunday, April 30th, you’ll join other patrons for the play from 2pm to 4pm with a special performance of “The Clean House.” Sip a complimentary glass of wine while you enjoy the play that you sponsored.
After hilarity and hijinks ensue on stage, you’ll head over to the party from 4pm to 6pm. All 100 audience members will head across the street from the theater to Renewal Consignment Housewares to nosh on heavy appetizers and complimentary wine and beer. The post-show party will include a special appearance by the cast of “The Clean House.”
