Frightened Felons Transforms The Old Idaho Penitentiary For A Haunting Good Time
'Tis the season to be scared! And the Old Idaho Penitentiary is ready to give you a fright at Frightened Felons on Friday, October 27th, and Saturday, October 28th, from 7pm to 11pm.
9th Annual Frightened Felons
This annual event is one that Treasure Valley residents look forward to every October! The Old Idaho Penitentiary is hosting the 9th annual Frightened Felons fest with the museum being transformed into a creepy destination, complete with a haunted cell block. Hit the dance floor for a special performance of the Zombie "Thriller" Dance. Make sure you wear your best threads and you could win a cash prize at one of the costume contests!
A Scarily Entertaining Evening
You'll find yourself mingling with inmates, or are those just actors portraying inmates of the past? You'll want to snap a photo with the Undertaker and the historic hearse presented by Cloverdale Funeral Home. There will be music, presentations, prizes, and a scavenger hunt. You can grab a bite at one of the many food trucks, or sip on a coffee, hot cocoa, and beer and wine on Adult Night! You'll have delicious option to choose from, including Dutch Bros, Foxy Franks, Genki Takoyaki, il Segreto Wood Fired Pizza, and Crooked Fence. You can purchase tickets for the all-ages event here, and the Adults only night here.
If you can't wait until Frightened Felons to have a few scares, then head to the Old Idaho Penitentiary on Friday, October 13th, for Freaky Friday. From 6pm to 10pm, you'll be able to hear ghost stories and enjoy a guided tour of the spooky grounds. Come hear tales of the Hanged Ten, the ten men who were executed at the Old Penitentiary. Tickets are available at the door for $10 each. This event is open to those 13 years old and older only.
