Half K Fun Run For Paddy Day Benefiting The Food Bank In Boise
Have you ever considered running a ‘micro’ marathon? It’s quick, it’s fun and it’s so satisfying to say that you ran a ‘marathon’ (they don’t need to know it’s 1/3 of a mile, do they?).
On Saturday March 10th, you have the chance to be part of the St. Paddy Day Half K marathon benefiting the Idaho Food Bank in Boise. This year, they are hoping to raise $2,000 in 2 hours: http://boise.stpaddydayhalfk.com/.
The marathon should take right around 8 minutes, with a fun-filled selection of activities to take part in before, during or after your arduous endurance contest. A slice of pizza before the starting gun is fired? Check! A couple of clumsy Zumba moves during the race? Check! Having your face painted just because you can? Check!
This is a great opportunity to embrace the spirit of St. Patrick’s day with a short race (not sure it even qualifies as such, but – don’t worry – your secret is safe with us), while giving your contribution to a good cause as you dive into the Irish spirit.
